(Javanese eagle) the crowned king of eagles from Indonesia

Javanese eagle is one of the rare eagles from Indonesia. This medium size eagle is a bird that is similar to the legendary bird that was used as a symbol of the Republic of Indonesia, namely 'garuda'. The Javanese eagle habitat used to spread on the Java island plains from the mountain to the coast

Javanese eagle has a reddish-brown head shape (cadre), with a tall, prominent crest (2-4 fur, up to 12 cm long) and a yellowish brown neck (sometimes golden when exposed to sunlight). Black crested with white tip; the crown and mustache are black, while the back and wings are dark brown. Whitish esophagus with black lines (actually lines) stretching in the middle. Downward, towards the chest, black scribbles spread above the pale brownish yellow, which in the end on the bottom again turned into a tight cross-line pattern of red sawomatang until browned over the pale whitish color of the stomach feathers and feet. Feathers on the legs cover the legs close to the base of the finger. Brownish tail with four dark lines and a wide cross that is clearly visible on the bottom, thin white striped tail end. Similar colored females, slightly larger.

Java eagle habitat has gradually decreased in shrinkage. this is due to the narrowing of forest habitat and reduced nesting space. and what makes it worse is the Javanese eagle hunt for pets. now the distribution of the Javanese eagle is on Sebaran eagle, limited to Java Island, from the western end (Ujung Kulon National Park) to the eastern end of the Purwo Blambangan Peninsula. However, the spread is now limited to areas with primary forest and in forested hilly areas at the turn of the lowlands and mountains. Most are found in half the southern hemisphere of Java.
